Saturday 8:00am to 5:00 pm
The Transfer Station is only accessible to the Town of Rodman residents by permit only. To receive a permit you must go to the Rodman Town Clerk's office during normal business hours.

Materials That Can Be Recycled in the Town of Rodman
There are many materials that can be recycled rather that thrown away. An important thing to know is how they must be sorted.
Items Accepted at Town of Rodman Transfer Station
(Containers should be empty and rinsed)
Plastic Containers (keep lids and caps on containers)
Glass Containers
Metal Containers (no need to separate by color or remove labels)
Mixed Paper
Do not include paper cups, paper plates, tissues, toilet paper, diapers, carbon paper or hardcover books, unless cover is removed)
Paperboard (Light weight Cardboard)
Cardboard
Cartons (These items are accepted ONLY at facilities or with haulers that offer single stream)
Do not include any of these items if you are required to sort your recyclables into different categories
Single Use (Disposable) Batteries
Rechargeable Batteries (it is illegal to depose of these in the trash)
Electronic Equipment (It is illegal to dispose of these items in the trash)
No broken glass on TVs or monitors or dismantled units (must be whole unit)
Textiles
Do not include items that are dump, mildewed or stained with any solvents
White Goods (Appliances)
Scrap Metal
Items NOT excepted by the Town of Rodman Recycling Center.
These items need to be brought to the Jefferson County Transfer Site.

Glass Containers
- Bottles & Jars (no need to separate by colors or remove labels)

- Tin and aluminum food and beverage cans, metal lids from jars
Mixed Paper
- Office paper, copier paper, junk mail, envelopes, newspaper, magazines, catalogues, shredded paper, telephone books, paperback books, paper grocery bags

Paperboard (Light weight Cardboard)
- Cereal boxes, food boxes, paper egg cartons
Cardboard
- Corrugated cardboard boxes and pizza boxes (food removed)

- Milk, juice, broth and soup cartons (including juice boxes)
Do not include any of these items if you are required to sort your recyclables into different categories
Single Use (Disposable) Batteries
- Alkaline and Lithium single use batteries
Rechargeable Batteries (it is illegal to depose of these in the trash)
- Nickel cadmium, lead acid, lithium ion and nickel metal hydride
Electronic Equipment (It is illegal to dispose of these items in the trash)
- TV’s, Computers, Monitors, VCRs, Keyboard, Mice, Fax Machine, Printers, Scanners, Cable or Satellite Receivers, Video Game Consoles

- Clothing, Shoes, Sneakers, Belts, Purse, Linens, Pillow cases, Blankets, Sheets, Curtains and stuffed animals.

- Refrigerators, Stoves, Dishwashers, Microwaves, Washers, Dryers
Scrap Metal
- Metal construction debris, wiring, empty propane tanks and most metal items
Items NOT excepted by the Town of Rodman Recycling Center.

- Automotive Batteries
- Used Motor Oil
- Plastic Bag
These items need to be brought to the Jefferson County Transfer Site.
